About Swiss Escape

Swiss Escape is located in the charming village of Grimentz in the Swiss Alps at 1500 meters. The first coworking and coliving space in Switzerland for freelancers, entrepreneurs and teams looking to get closer to nature. Composed of two chalets welcoming up to 15 people, it offers panoramic views of the Alps right from your desk, with easy access to hiking, mountain biking and ski lifts just 2 minutes walk away.

Origin story

The founders Haz and Fanny started their entrepreneurial adventure in 2016 after quitting their corporate jobs in the Netherlands, feeling their life had become boring. They enrolled in a business accelerator program in Lisbon where they realized that being a digital nomad and hopping from one place to the next can be very lonely.

They wanted to build a business that integrated travel and the strength of a community, discovering the concept of coliving. With "Challenge accepted" in mind, they returned to Switzerland (the location they knew best) and opened what they thought would be their prototype, planning to hop from one location to the next.

Little did they know that Switzerland would become their full-time location. Their first clients loved their experience so much that they asked to come back the next year. This is how their prototype turned into a year-round business.

Community philosophy

Swiss Escape explores human connections and is fascinated by what happens when bringing together people from all walks of life. The coliving story goes back to how human brains are wired - how people crave for a tribe at work, at home and in life. Although this feeling is primal, people sometimes forget it and choose to live in the bubble of their apartments and offices. Coliving with others enables creating CONNECTIONS and a sense of BELONGING.

The space is intended for freelancers, remote workers or business owners who can work remotely and are looking for a community of like-minded people. They regularly organize activities from workshops and business-related talks, to social dinners and movie nights, to ski/hiking days, aiming to create an unforgettable experience alongside people who share the same lifestyle.

Because they know the importance of a well-functioning community, they have a dedicated team member onsite to facilitate interactions between guests as well as organize weekly events. The community of fun people is believed to be a catalyst for personal and business growth.
