Swiss Alps Coliving is more than a place to stay — it's a home full of curious, creative people from all around the world. The community brings together digital nomads, creatives, remote workers, and entrepreneurs, all sharing stories, meals, learnings, and mountain moments.
Evenings are for shared dinners, BBQs, card games, movie nights, or simply watching the sunset together. Weekly communal dinners (like raclette or BBQ nights) and guided weekend adventures are built into the experience, fostering connection through shared activities.
An onsite community manager serves as a friendly face to help with events, support, and connections — ensuring every coliver feels at home.
In January 2023, the founders discovered an old hotel in Liddes, Switzerland. With the support of a global community, they turned it into a home for adventurers and remote workers — making Swiss Alps Coliving the world's first crowdfunded coliving project.
The space is shaped by co-owners from all over the world: Richard (USA), Piera (Italy), Marc (Canada), Diego (Brazil), Yazan (Palestine), Chacha (USA), Niklaus (Germany), Raul (Romania), and Ute (Germany). Each one brings their own story, helping to create a space that feels like family. Two of SAC's founders also lead Coliving Frilingue, a brand of colivings across Europe.
The vision is to bring this spirit to more places — a community built around work-life balance and adventure, where people share stories, make memories, and be part of something bigger.
Swiss Alps Coliving is set in Liddes, a small, quiet mountain village in the Grand St. Bernard region of the Swiss canton of Valais, sitting at around 1,000 metres above sea level. The village is nestled among forests, glaciers, and alpine pastures, with panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. Guests describe it as a peaceful and remote setting — perfect for nature lovers and those seeking a calm environment for deep work and outdoor adventures.
The village is small but has its essentials: two grocery shops (one open Sunday mornings), two local restaurants, a tennis court, and a river suitable for swimming just a 10-minute walk away. The broader Grand St. Bernard region offers access to Bourg St. Pierre (a few minutes away, with an indoor swimming pool and spa), as well as easy proximity to Verbier (under 30 minutes by car), and the international destinations of Aosta (Italy), Chamonix (France), and Annecy — all within roughly 2 hours.
