    About Pyren'Escape

Pyren'Escape is a mountain coliving in the heart of the Pyrenees that allows guests to reconcile work and pleasure in a dream setting. The large mountain chalet is shared by a caring community of digital nomads, freelancers and teleworkers, offering ideal working conditions facing the Pyrenees and a life-size playground with 1001 activities to discover.

    Origin story

During a family trip just after the COVID lockdown, while wondering how to give more meaning to their activities, the family decided to transform their large guesthouse into a meeting place for people wanting to bring projects to fruition.

The concept of coliving, familiar to the traveling children, naturally emerged and mobilized the whole family. Vincent and Clairie wanted to continue hosting by breaking away from the monotonous rhythm of holidays and giving more meaning to hospitality, while Babou and Yaël wanted to continue their lives as digital freelancers.

As soon as lockdown ended, the whole family went on a road trip to think about the path forward. The connection became obvious between the parents, who loved their region but liked to leave, and the children, who were ultra-connected to the world but liked to come back.

A year and a half later, the Terrasses de Saubissan gave way to Pyren'Escape, the first rural coliving facility in the French Pyrenees.

    Community philosophy

At Pyren'Escape, guests become part of a caring community of free and creative spirits. Energies combine to advance projects, enrich mutual journeys and experiences, and create connections and memories for life.

The community embraces life after work through community meals, games, movie nights, hiking trips, outdoor activities, yoga, and thematic workshops. The approach welcomes a diversity of profiles which together contribute to the richness of the community.

The philosophy centers on sharing good meals, great discussions, relaxing evenings, and connecting with others while reconnecting with yourself. Everyone has unique abilities that can enrich the community, creating a space where people can find their place and enjoy meaningful experiences together.

    Hosts

Handyman, self-taught, he did many jobs, and sometimes succeeded in combining passion and work. He loves cooking, nature, horses, encounters, art (and especially cinema) and tai chi. His credo: "Let's hurry slowly" His project: "Welcoming and helping to mature". Vincent handles bookings, welcomes guests, maintains them, and serves as community manager.

From mountain guide to architect, Clairie does not forget to enjoy the mountains. Passionate about outdoor sports, she practices paragliding on a daily basis, as well as skiing and mountain biking. But what she prefers above all is to share moments with her children such as traveling. Clairie designs the plans and directs the work.
