Oceanfront coliving in Madeira's famed nomad village, steps from the sea. The freshly renovated building has a comfortable workspace, lounge, kitchen and laundry room, with French doors letting in the sea breeze. All 15 private rooms have ocean views and en-suite bathrooms. Guests describe it as quieter and more private, operating more like a hotel than a house.
Community is built through weekly events and activities for guests, such as in-house coffee mornings, lunches, cultural activities and donation-based HIIT workouts on the beach in front of the coliving every Monday and Wednesday. Community manager Elisa, a Madeira local, helps guests during their stay and runs a WhatsApp group. Guests say the community is among the best at Outsite, though the social side depends on effort, and the vibe is quieter than other Outsites. The town's Digital Nomad Village initiative offers a free coworking space, and guests mix with locals, expats and tourists.
Outsite sits oceanfront on Praia da Ponta do Sol, in what is often called Madeira's sunniest point. Ponta do Sol is a 500-year-old coastal town, now known as Madeira's digital nomad village. Rocky cliffs shelter it, and banana and sugarcane plantations frame it.
The town has a pebbly beach, a handful of local Portuguese cafes, and a free coworking space run by the Digital Nomad Village initiative. A café is one minute from the building.
