Circles is a Barcelona-based boutique coliving and coworking community designed for entrepreneurs and innovators seeking a more meaningful way to live, work, and connect. Located in the Vallvidrera neighbourhood within Collserola Natural Park, it offers a serene escape with 360° city views while remaining close to central Barcelona. Members go through an interview process to ensure shared values, creating a safe space to exchange ideas and help each other thrive.
Circles was born from co-founder Enric Solé's personal experience of spending 10 years traveling the world as an entrepreneur — living alone in hotels and apartments, missing out on the possibilities for growth and connection that community can offer.
After selling his company SITmobile, Enric spent five years in Palo Alto, where he discovered the hacker house culture of Silicon Valley and helped with Startup Embassy — an experience he wished he'd had as a younger entrepreneur. He realised that a coliving had to be "a home away from home, designed with both creativity and productivity in mind. A place where you can work, get inspired, connect, relax and replace that traditional way of a workspace with a flexible environment."
Driven by the belief that the people you cross paths with while traveling can play a crucial role in your life, Enric and co-founder Natalia Juncosa launched Circles in April 2022 as their flagship house in Barcelona — with the goal of giving other digital entrepreneurs the opportunity to create meaningful connections and a plug-and-play instant community.
Circles' primary purpose is to create a culturally diverse international community through digital conscious nomadism, inspiring people to embrace remote work and live a fulfilling life by exploring the world.
The community is built around five core values:
To ensure community fit, prospective members go through an interview process, guaranteeing that those staying at Circles share similar values and creating a safe space for ideas and mutual growth.
Circles House Barcelona is located in Vallvidrera, a quiet hillside neighborhood situated within Collserola Natural Park, above the city of Barcelona. The area offers a striking contrast to central Barcelona — pine trees replace traffic noise, streets are calm, and hiking trails begin just minutes from the front door. Residents enjoy panoramic views over the Mediterranean Sea, the Barcelona skyline, and the Montserrat Mountains.
Nearby districts like Sarrià-Sant Gervasi provide restaurants, cafés, and everyday services, lending the area a small-town village feel while remaining connected to the broader city. The charming streets of Sarrià are a short trip down the funicular, and the area is popular for its relaxed atmosphere and local Catalan character.
Guest reviews consistently praise the peaceful, nature-immersed setting: "Life here feels very different from central Barcelona — pine trees replace traffic noise. Streets are quiet." However, some guests note the area is not a typical city neighborhood — there are limited coffee shops within walking distance, and the sole nearby grocery store is considered pricey and somewhat hard to reach on foot. Those looking for the bustle of central Barcelona will need to factor in the funicular commute.
