Nomadico was founded in October 2022 when its founder Bill fell in love with Madeira at Cecilia's guesthouse — it had everything except a community of nomads, so he built one, guided by core values of local impact, sustainability and adventure.
The Taghazout Bay location took root in Tamraght — a chill surf village tucked between the glitzier Taghazout and the resort destination of Agadir. Nomadico partnered with Abdel, one of Tamraght's original Berber families who lives next door and runs Surfskate; with Louise, Amanda and Cami, three Danish dreamers who traded 9–5 life for Moroccan sunsets; and, more recently, with Kamal, who returned to Morocco after years in France because he believes Tamraght is one of the best places to combine work, well-being and adventure. Together they turned local homes into a vibrant coliving community where remote workers connect deeply with place, people, and purpose.
Nomadico's Downtown Tamraght homes (Abdel's and Louise's) sit right in the heart of Tamraght, an authentic Berber village on Morocco's Atlantic coast, about 20 km north of Agadir and a 10-minute drive from the more touristy village of Taghazout (also reachable via a scenic 10-minute coastal promenade walk).
Downtown Tamraght is a lively part of the village, with everyday local life unfolding just outside the door: mosques, cafés, bakeries, surf shops and the main street ("Champs-Élysées") are all just minutes away. A weekly local market with fresh fruit and vegetables takes place every Tuesday. The beach and the Devil's Rock viewpoint are a 10-15 minute walk, and a sunset viewpoint is reachable via a 30-minute hike.
The village sits between the Atlas Mountains and the ocean, with panoramic sea and mountain views from the rooftops. The area has grown popular with surfers and digital nomads thanks to world-class waves and reliable fibre-optic internet, while retaining a warm, local Amazigh (Berber) community feel and a slower pace of life.
