About Nomadico Coliving - Taghazout Bay

Nomadico Taghazout Bay is a three-home coliving set in the authentic surf village of Tamraght, Morocco — just steps from the beach and mountains. Spread across Abdel Yan, Abdel Sin, and Louise's Home, the community offers rooftop coworking with 360° sea and mountain views, fast fiber optic WiFi, and a year-round sunny lifestyle blending surfing, yoga, specialty coffee, and genuine Amazigh culture.

Origin story

Nomadico was founded in October 2022 when Bill Rutten fell in love with Madeira at a local guesthouse — it had everything except a community of nomads, so he built one. The network grew internationally, guided by core values of sustainability, local impact, inclusiveness, adventure, and co-creation.

The Taghazout Bay location took root in Tamraght — a chill surf village tucked between the glitzier Taghazout and the resort destination of Agadir. Nomadico partnered with Abdel, one of Tamraght's original Berber families, who lives next door and runs Surfskate, and with Louise, Amanda, and Cami — three Danish dreamers who traded 9–5 life for Moroccan sunsets — to create a cozy, inspiring home for nomads to surf, connect, and live simply. Together, they turned local homes into a vibrant coliving community where remote workers connect deeply with place, people, and purpose.

Community philosophy

The three homes — Abdel Yan, Abdel Sin, and Louise's Home — are connected as one community. Beyond spontaneous sunset and surf plans, weekly events are co-created with everyone's ideas, and a community manager keeps the energy flowing and makes sure guests feel right at home.

Life in Taghazout flows easily: surf in the morning, shared meals at night, and sunsets that pull everyone together. The homes feel like family — coffee chats after waves, laughter over card games, and legendary mountain tagine nights. Weekends often mean road trips to Paradise Valley or sunset sessions at the skatepark.

Nomadico's philosophy is to build community with people, not for people — working with local communities rather than just in them. The experience on the ground is 100% shaped by the interests and input of guests, and every adventure is designed to get people slightly outside their comfort zone.

Less touristy than the more well-known neighbouring village of Taghazout (about 5 km away along a scenic coastal path), Tamraght offers a genuine Moroccan experience with a laid-back, local vibe.

The village sits between the Atlas Mountains and the ocean, with 360° views of the sea and mountains visible from the rooftop. The area has grown in popularity with surfers and digital nomads thanks to its world-class waves and reliable fibre-optic internet. The village doesn't have formal addresses or street names, but everything needed for daily life — small shops, local cafes, fruit stalls — is within easy walking distance.

Guests consistently describe Tamraght as quiet, charming, and relaxed, with a unique blend of an international surf/skate community and rich local Amazigh (Berber) culture. As one reviewer noted: "Tamraght is a quiet and charming town with everything you need" — while another preferred it to Taghazout for its authentic, unhurried atmosphere.
