In the small surf town of Hiriketiya, community builds fast, faces become familiar, and locals remember your name. Mornings often start with yoga or surf, followed by coffee and coworking at beach cafés. Evenings bring dinner meetups, Nutella rotis, or dancing.
The house runs a weekly Cooking Class + Community Lunch every Thursday (cook together, then share a meal) and a Weekly Skill Share at the workspace. The on-site community manager helps guests settle in and organizes dinners, surf sessions, and spontaneous mid-week adventures.
Ties with locals include cooking classes at Rosie's Kitchen, a community-powered kitchen led by local women, and local partners AJ, Rajeeva, and Nadun hosting guests.
Created by former Nomadico guests, the villa is everything they once looked for. AJ and Rajeeva stayed with Nomadico in Madeira, and something clicked. After many "what if we..." chats, they teamed up with their friend Nadun to bring the Nomadico spirit to Sri Lanka's lush south coast.
