    About Pitaya Coliving

Pitaya Coliving is the first coliving in the island of Lanzarote, located in Arrecife's most charming and vibrant area, El Charco de San Ginés. The coliving connects remote workers with the island's local life, offering experiences to immerse in the tradition and culture of Lanzarote while providing inspirational spaces to connect communities.

    Origin story

Pitaya Coliving was established as the first coliving space on the island of Lanzarote, pioneering the concept in this unique Canary Island destination. The founders chose to locate the coliving in El Charco de San Ginés, a historic landmark in Arrecife that represents the union of the ocean with the capital city. This strategic location in the heart of the historic city center places the coliving among charming local bars and restaurants nestled around the lagoon, creating a vibrant atmosphere day and night.

    Community philosophy

Pitaya Coliving believes that community grows through connection and focuses on creating meaningful shared experiences among residents. The coliving operates as the biggest and most active remote workers community in Lanzarote, with a mission to offer colivers a genuinely local and immersive experience. Their approach centers on connecting remote workers with the rhythms of island life and local traditions through a weekly calendar full of moments designed to bring people together. The community is built on mutual respect, clear expectations, and shared responsibility, creating a harmonious and enjoyable coliving environment that makes Pitaya a welcoming and inspiring space for everyone.

    Hosts

Laura is the founder of Pitaya Coliving who works closely with the host team and Amelia (housekeeper). She co-creates timetables with hosts at the start of collaborations and provides creative freedom and real responsibility to the team. Laura can be contacted directly for questions and communication alongside the House Manager.

Nikoleta serves as the House Manager at Pitaya Coliving and is one of the primary contacts for residents alongside founder Laura. She handles day-to-day operations and resident communications through the Coliving WhatsApp group.

Amelia is the professional housekeeper at Pitaya Coliving, affectionately referred to as the 'cleaning angel.' She provides weekly cleaning services for rooms and common areas, handles trash disposal twice a week, and works closely with Laura and the host team. Basic Spanish is helpful for communicating with Amelia.
