About Nomadico - Ericeira

Nomadico Ericeira is a surf-and-work coliving spread across 2 homes — the Sea View Hub and Laura's Home — in a charming Portuguese coastal village and world surf reserve. With ocean views, a pool, fiber-optic WiFi, and a dedicated coworking space, it blends productive remote work with laid-back surf culture, shared dinners, and a vibrant expat community.

Origin story

Nomadico kicked off in 2022 when founder Bill fell in love with Madeira at a local guesthouse — it had everything except a community of nomads, so he built one.

The Ericeira location grew out of that same vision: teaming up with local partners — Linette, who manages the Sea View Hub, and Laura (and Chais), who swapped city life for sea breezes and opened their guest house to share their love for travel, surf, and community — to turn underutilized local homes into vibrant coliving spaces for remote workers and digital nomads.

Community philosophy

Nomadico's guiding principle is to build community with people, not for people. At Ericeira, all homes are connected as one community — beyond spontaneous sunset and surf plans, weekly events are co-created with everyone's ideas, guided by a dedicated community manager who keeps the energy flowing and makes sure guests feel right at home.

Days flow from morning surfs and cowork sessions to shared dinners that bring everyone together. Weekends often mean surf lessons at Ribeira d'Ilhas, hikes to Coxos, or day trips to Sintra and Nazaré. The community finds its rhythm in the balance of the sea: active, social, and adventurous, while remaining grounded in meaningful connections and shared experiences.

Destinations: Ericeira town center, local bars, restaurants, Praia dos Pescadores, Foz do Lizandro
