About Amplitude Coliving

Amplitude is a custom-built coliving in the heart of La Punta, Puerto Escondido, Mexico — designed for remote workers, entrepreneurs, and solo travelers seeking comfort, community, and reliable internet. Nestled just a four-minute walk from world-class surf breaks, cafes, and restaurants, it offers 6 private room types with ensuite bathrooms, a shared kitchen, an air-conditioned coworking lounge, and a pool — all backed by a dual Fiber Optic and Starlink setup with battery backup.

Origin story

Benny Terramar first landed in Puerto Escondido with one simple criterion: a surf town somewhere in the Americas. What he found was far more — a place that sits perfectly between sleepy beach town and overdeveloped tourist trap, pulsing with life, creativity, and people who genuinely want to connect, grow, and try new things.

Having lived a nomadic lifestyle for years, Benny returned to Puerto again and again, each time staying longer. As a remote worker himself, he experienced firsthand the frustrations of dropped calls, unreliable internet, and scrambling to find a café with working Wi-Fi during power outages. He knew that when building Amplitude, the internet had to be more than just available — it had to be reliable and backed up.

That repeated pull back to Puerto, combined with the gap he saw in quality accommodation for remote workers, led to Amplitude — a space designed to make it easy to get things done, meet great people, and enjoy everything Puerto Escondido has to offer.

Community philosophy

Amplitude is built around the idea of community on your wavelength — bringing together like-minded remote workers, entrepreneurs, and solo travelers in a space designed for both productivity and genuine human connection.

Rather than forcing interaction, the space is designed so that connection happens organically: a shared kitchen with a large communal table, open-air outdoor spaces, and an air-conditioned coworking lounge that doubles as a social hub. Weekly events — community dinners, wellness sessions, and resident-hosted gatherings — provide a built-in rhythm for meeting neighbors and building relationships.

The philosophy balances privacy with community: every guest has their own private room and ensuite bathroom, while shared spaces make it easy to step into the social life of the house whenever they choose.
