The house sits in the centre of Ericeira, a Portuguese coastal town that has grown from a small fishing village into a magnet for surfers from across Europe. It lies between Sintra and Peniche, just below the big waves of Nazaré, on the Atlantic Coast. The lodge has ocean views, and the town centre, cafes and beaches are close by. Praia do Sul is about 5 minutes away and the Ribeira d'Ilhas wooden trail is about 20 minutes on foot. The area gets long hours of sunshine and has locally caught seafood.
