About Hamlet's Friends Coliving

Hamlet's Friends is a rural coworking and coliving space in Nuño Gómez, Toledo, Spain, offering upgraded wooden cabins and a 200 sqm coworking space set in the Spanish countryside. It blends productive remote work with authentic community living — community cooking, stargazing, hiking, and the occasional curious cow. Supported by the European FEADER/LEADER programme, it aims to attract talent and revitalise rural areas.

Origin story

Once upon a time, in the bustling cities of Berlin and Madrid, four friends found themselves yearning for something more — a life filled with adventure, connection, and purpose. Tired of the daily grind and seeking a change of pace, they embarked on a journey to create something magical together.

Their quest led them to the sleepy village of Nuño Gómez, nestled amidst the rolling hills of Toledo, Spain, where they stumbled upon a hidden gem: a piece of land dotted with quaint wooden cabins, surrounded by lush greenery and the gentle hum of nature.

With hearts full of excitement and determination, they set to work breathing new life into the old cabins, transforming the rustic structures into cozy havens. They envisioned not just a place to live and work, but a community — a home away from home where kindred spirits could come together to create, collaborate, and thrive.

The team — five curious minds from Berlin and Madrid — saw huge potential for a reboot in the countryside: for villages, for new ways of living, and for themselves. What started in the city found a second home in Nuño Gómez, where different perspectives meet local spirit.

Community philosophy

Hamlet's Friends is built on the belief that coworking and coliving spaces are much more than places to work and sleep — they are real communities where ideas, inspiration, and connections flow naturally.

Networking here is not forced; it arises organically between coffees, shared dinners, or escapes into nature. Surrounding oneself with people of different talents and backgrounds enriches residents both professionally and personally, while living and working together with people who share the same values creates deep bonds that go beyond work.

Four core values drive the community:

  • Community First — building connections that last beyond your stay
  • Rural Revival — breathing new life into the Spanish countryside
  • Creative Madness — embracing wild ideas and making them happen
  • Cross-Border Spirit — learning from different cultures and perspectives

The team believes in collaboration, openness, and learning from one another across borders and backgrounds — "Rooted in Berlin and Madrid, inspired by rural life, and driven by connection."
