Co.404 Oaxaca sits in the heart of Oaxaca's historical center, just a 10-minute walk from the Zócalo, Benito Juarez market, and Santo Domingo Church. The coliving offers a digital nomads dream city where guests can wander through colourful UNESCO world heritage streets and indulge in the top notch local gastronomical scene, with an extensive 8-week rotating activity program featuring cultural immersion experiences like mezcal tours, traditional craft workshops, and local market explorations.
Co.404 emerged from three founders who were travelers first, remote workers second, and passionate about creating communities third. Laurens, Jocelyn, and David met in the hostel-verse volunteering together and after dabbling in online work, decided to open their own hostel geared towards online workers.
They had a vision of creating something that was so much more than just a co-living and co-working space and that's exactly what it has become. Their approach was born from their shared experience as travelers who understood what digital nomads truly needed - not just a place to work, but a genuine community where meaningful connections could flourish.
Community is at the heart of everything Co.404 does. The coliving operates on the principle that volunteers and staff should be travelers and nomads just like the guests - this isn't just a job to them, they too want to have fun and explore with like minded people.
The philosophy centers on creating warm, inclusive vibes where volunteers become "the extra sibling, cousin, or friend every guest hasn't yet met" - someone who sparks conversation over morning coffee, organizes impromptu activities, and makes the spaces feel like home. They believe in being the social glue that makes the magic happen, with many guests saying they have the best community vibe in all of Latin America.
Their approach focuses on taking guests on adventures right from the get go - new arrivals are immediately added to the community chat and introduced to everyone in the "little family." The community building extends beyond just social activities to genuine care and support, where if someone has questions, problems, or wants to organize their own activities, the community rallies around them.
Located in the heart of the historical center of Oaxaca, the accommodation is surrounded by UNESCO World Heritage streets that showcase the city's colonial architecture and cultural significance.
The location offers easy access to major landmarks including the Zócalo (main square), the Benito Juarez market, and the famous Santo Domingo Church, all within a 10-minute walk. The area is vibrant with numerous restaurants and cafés creating a lively gastronomical scene that reflects Oaxaca's renowned culinary heritage.
