    About Cactus La Gomera

Cactus La Gomera offers a calm, authentic experience rooted in local life in San Sebastián de La Gomera. Surrounded by nature and just minutes from the black-sand beach, it's where remote workers, digital nomads and creatives connect, share, and slow down. Deeply connected to Canarian culture and local community through Canarian-inspired workshops, local activities and daily neighborhood life.

    Origin story

María Mayordomo founded Cactus Coliving out of her deep love for the nature of the Canary Islands. The coliving emerged from a vision to create authentic experiences that connect people with the unique volcanic landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and peaceful island life of La Gomera.

    Community philosophy

At Cactus Coliving, "Community as a way of life" is more than just a motto—it's the foundation of everything they do. They believe coliving is about creating experiences that bring people together, transforming a house into a home and strangers into family.

Shared activities foster deep emotional connections among nomads, making them feel seen, heard, and valued. Through conscious community-building activities like group meditations, storytelling circles, and deep-dive discussions, colivers open up, share their journeys, and support one another. These moments bridge cultural differences and create lasting friendships, making coliving a space of emotional safety and mutual understanding.

The community embraces weekly rituals like family dinners, sunset dance circles, and intention-setting gatherings that create a rhythm to life in coliving, making each stay feel more personal and immersive.
