A coliving is shared housing designed for remote workers who work independently but live together. Most remote workers feel isolated. Nesting Away solves this by putting you in a small community (7 rooms) where you naturally eat together, work in the same space, and build real friendships. Unlike hotels or Airbnb, you're living with your people, not tourists passing through.

Most colivings in Lisbon or Barcelona are massive (20+ rooms), constantly changing people, chaotic vibe. You meet someone on Tuesday, they're gone by Friday. Nesting Away is different: check-ins only on the 1st and the 15th of the month. 7 rooms max, 4–8 week stays (longer = real connection), personally vetted by Fede and Ola. We're not the cheapest (from €41/night), but you're paying for depth, not price. You remember everyone's name. That's what makes the difference.

Monday–Friday mornings, people work in the coworking space. Lunch is often shared (someone cooks, or everyone goes out together). Afternoons: pool breaks, individual work, naps. 2–3x per week there's a group dinner or activity (pizza night, wine tasting, waterfall hike). Evenings, some people socialize on the veranda, some work late, some read alone. Weekends are yours: some people stay, some travel. It's not a party house and it's not a silent retreat. It's a home where work gets done and friendships happen naturally. Very intentional, never forced.

Yes. Besides having a private desk in your room and working whenever you want, our coworking space has 24/7 access: you can work at 4 AM or 11 PM without disrupting anyone. Shared spaces (kitchens, living room) are designed so you never feel pressured to socialize when you don't want to.

If someone books just looking for a cheap place to crash, they might party at midnight or disrespect shared spaces. Everyone who stays here has consciously chosen community. The discovery call is designed to help both of us make sure it's a fit. You'll talk to Fede or Ola, ask real questions, and you'll know if it feels right. If something changes after arrival, like the timing was wrong or personal circumstances shifted, we'll work with you. But in our experience this rarely happens because we screen well upfront. The people who come here want what we're offering. The people who just want a cheap bed don't apply.

We stay lean. 7 rooms (not 30) & minimal marketing (mostly word-of-mouth), founder-run (Fede and Ola do the calls themselves). We're not a venture-backed startup trying to scale to 1,000 locations. We're covering costs, paying ourselves fairly, and reinvesting in keeping the space beautiful. It's sustainable because it's honest.

Private rooms (Limone, Fico, Rosmarino, Uva) are yours alone, perfect if you need quiet mornings or have confidential client calls. Shared rooms (only available if 2 friends book together) have two single beds in one room, saving you €200+/month. Both include full access to common spaces and community.

The bedroom is shared (twin beds), so during sleeping hours you need to be considerate of your roommate. Most shared-room guests find it works great because they're friends already.

No. Most rooms share bathrooms with 1–2 others (never more than 3 people per bathroom, typically 2). Room Limone has a special offer on request: private bathroom (non-ensuite, but right next door) for €150/month extra. We have 4 full bathrooms for 7 rooms, so you're never waiting in line.

Everything is included: WiFi, coworking space, weekly cleaning, pool access, kitchens, parking, community manager. No hidden fees.

No, you don't need a car. We have a community car available for guests: perfect for grocery runs, local errands, and spontaneous day trips. However, if you want complete freedom to explore regions around like Umbria or Tuscany at your own pace, having a car (rental or your own) gives you flexibility. Many guests do both: use the community car for quick runs, rent a car for weekend adventures. It's optional, not required.

4 different supermarkets are in Orte town, just 3km away. We organise community car grocery runs 3 times per week: you can join if you want company and shared costs, or go solo on bus (3km is a fast ride). You'll never stress about groceries. Between the supermarkets, local markets, and nearby restaurants, shopping and eating is simple and affordable.

Most months fill 6–12 weeks ahead, especially spring/fall. If you want to come in June–July–August, even earlier given the peak season.

Yes, absolutely. Just let us know as soon as you can. Give us at least a couple of weeks notice. We'll check availability for your specific room. Many guests in 2025 have extended their stays by weeks because they didn't want to leave. If your room is booked after your checkout date, we'll work with you to find alternatives (different room, waiting list, future dates).

Step 1: Book a 15-minute discovery call. Step 2: Chat with Fede or Ola — they ask about you, you ask about us, we confirm if it's a fit. Step 3: You lock your dates and we send final details. Step 4: You arrive and settle in.

All on-site activities are included: community meals, hikes, pool access, game nights. They're optional, never mandatory. Off-site trips (wine tastings, beach days, Rome) have a small fee (€15–50) that covers transportation and activities run by our partners. They're optional as well.

Activities are designed for community building — most happen in groups. But you're never forced. Want to hike alone? Go. Want to stay in your room? Fine. Want to join pizza night? Welcome. The magic happens when people choose to gather, not when they're pressured.

The community manager on-site organizes activities based on guest interests. Suggest a wine tasting? We'll arrange it. Want a cooking class? Done. Want a group hike to a specific waterfall? We'll coordinate it. Activities are built around what the current community wants, not a rigid schedule.

Tuscany is just 1 hour north. Florence is 2 hours north. Rome is 45 minutes south by direct train (€5–7). Beach (Tarquinia) is 50 minutes west. Waterfalls and mountains are 30 mins or 1–1.5 hours away. Perfect for day trips or overnight adventures while still having your home base at Nesting Away.

No car needed. Direct trains to Rome, Florence, Naples. Community car available for local trips (€0.25/km, community manager drives). Bikes available for village exploration at €2/day. Public buses connect to nearby towns. We organize group van trips for wine tastings, beach days, mountain hikes. Total freedom, however you want to explore.

Absolutely. Tell us your goal (creative brainstorm, team bonding, quiet workspace, leadership retreat). We adapt. Want 3 structured coworking sessions daily? Done. Want zero planned activities? Done. Dietary restrictions, accessibility needs, specific activities: tell us and we'll figure it out. You're renting a private villa. It's yours to shape.

Yes, that's the design. Coworking space is available 24/7. Garden & verandas for breaks. Meals together build camaraderie without forced activity. If some people want to work 9–5 and others want to explore Italy, that works. If the whole team wants to work silently all week, that works too. If you want structured events (like a team cooking class), we do that.

30% deposit holds your dates. Full payment due 60 days before arrival. Cancellation within 60 days forfeits the deposit. But we're flexible for genuine emergencies — if something real comes up, reach out. The more honest you are with us, the more we can work with you.
