About Casa Netural Gorizia

Casa Netural is an inclusive cultural center in Gorizia, European Capital of Culture 2025, that fosters encounters between creatives, digital nomads, curious travelers and the communities of Gorizia and Nova Gorica, stimulating the emergence of new relationships and projects. The space offers all the comforts of home and the services of an office, ideal for students, digital nomads and remote workers who want to work on their projects while making new friends and meeting new clients, inspired by a vibrant and inclusive environment.

Origin story

Casa Netural Gorizia emerged as part of a broader urban regeneration and social innovation process designed to give new life to the center of Gorizia and promote a new collaborative and inspiring way of living through connections between digital nomads, travelers, creatives and curious citizens.

The project developed within La Via Del Borgo "A THOUSAND YEARS OF HISTORY AT THE CENTER OF EUROPE: BORGO CASTELLO CROCEVIA OF PEOPLES AND CULTURES," funded by PNRR - Next Generation EU. Casa Netural Gorizia represents one of the cornerstone projects of this urban regeneration initiative, establishing itself in a historic building on Via Rastello — a street that for centuries was the city's main commercial axis and today represents a symbol of rebirth for the entire community.

The coliving launched as part of Casa Netural's broader mission that began in 2012, extending their first coliving project experience to this strategic cross-border location between Italy and Slovenia.

Community philosophy

Casa Netural's community philosophy centers on collaborative living and continuous cultural contamination. The spaces gather digital nomads from around the world, remote workers, curious travelers, people looking for change, and local community members seeking new inspiration and friendships.

The community works side by side in shared offices, enjoys moments of daily life and organizes weekly meetings to exchange skills and passions, community lunches and dinners, and walks to dive into nature. Each residency becomes an opportunity to contaminate each other, grow together by sharing stories and visions, practice different languages and explore new cultures.

The philosophy emphasizes immersion in a creative community with personalized local host services to ensure tailor-made welcome, facilitating integration and implementation of projects in the area. Casa Netural hosts social innovators from around the world within the residency program Go Innovation as a way to exchange best practices and innovative projects with the local community, fostering the design of new local development strategies.

Location

Via Rastello, 19/21, Gorizia, 34170, Italy

Casa Netural Gorizia is located on Via Rastello, the city's first street dating back to the 14th century, just steps from the historic 11th-century Gorizia Castle and the main square. Once the main commercial axis of the city with its artisans and merchants' shops, Via Rastello is now a place between past and future where historic shops are flanked by new commercial and functional spaces — clothing stores, footwear shops, bookshops, crafts, and restaurants.

The neighborhood is described by guests as very central and quiet, with supermarkets, grocery stores, and shops of all kinds within walking distance. Gorizia sits right on the border with Slovenia, making it easy to visit the twin city of Nova Gorica — also named European Capital of Culture 2025 — just a few kilometres away. The broader region of Collio Isontino offers panoramic landscapes, vineyards, wineries, castles, and agritourisms. Not far from the coliving is the Garden of Azaleas, featuring 500 varieties of azaleas and hundreds of rare roses, rhododendrons, camellias and magnolias.
