Neighbourgood Hill is a 32-suite co-living hotel set in the heart of Green Point, Cape Town, offering a modern interpretation of intentional community and design. Described as "paradise for digital nomads and everyone in between," it brings together a vibrant community of like-minded people from across the world, with private en-suite suites, stylishly furnished common spaces, a sparkling pool, lush garden, on-site Nourish'd Café, and a members' workspace lounge.
Neighbourgood members know their neighbours. The brand values friendliness over anonymity, and that ethos is reflected in every aspect of its spaces.
The coliving model is designed to create a community-centred environment that promotes social interaction, whilst simultaneously providing independence for members in their private living spaces. It offers a built-in community of people who are open to sharing meals, networking, hosting events, and providing support to each other.
Community creates a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose. Neighbourgood's community celebrates all differences — standing for acceptance and inclusiveness, with a belief that community is engrained in who they are. The founding team commits to building spaces that foster community between people while also allowing for the best expression of the individual, and to embracing diversity because it is through differences that beauty is found.
Neighbourgood was born from a deep inquiry into what it takes to build a thriving neighbourhood. Co-founders Murray Clark, Kim Clark, and St John Gardner found that the answer lay in the inherent power of community, diversity, and collaboration between people.
The concept evolved from an earlier brand called GOOD, which sought to integrate the best of mixed uses within a single building — but the model proved too complicated. Those learnings were applied, and Neighbourgood emerged: an efficient, city-wide network of living and working spaces where members have access to all buildings and the benefits that extend from each.
Kim Clark's entrepreneurial journey with Neighbourgood began in July 2020, in the middle of global uncertainty. Rather than leaning into fear, the founders leaned into something bigger: community. Their purpose, simply stated, is to build thoughtfully designed, all-inclusive living and working spaces that offer exceptional amenities and a connected community — because in doing so, they believe they can help build thriving neighbourhoods together.
Neighbourgood Hill is situated in Green Point, on Cape Town's Atlantic Seaboard — a vibrant, centrally located suburb often referred to as the Soho of Cape Town. The property sits just off Green Point's Main Road, nestled between De Waterkant, Sea Point, and the CBD, with Signal Hill rising directly behind the neighbourhood.
The area is known for its buzzing nightlife, world-class eateries, and spectacular mountain and ocean views. Nearby landmarks include the V&A Waterfront, DHL Stadium, Green Point Urban Park, and the Sea Point Promenade. Signal Hill, which offers sweeping sunset views over the city and ocean, is also within walking distance.
Guests consistently highlight the area's safety and walkability — one reviewer noted it as 'safe to walk around, with plenty of amenities — you can even walk to the Waterfront.' Another long-term guest described taking regular sunset walks to the beach just minutes away. The neighbourhood has a lively daytime atmosphere, though evenings tend to be quieter as guests and locals head out to the city's bars and restaurants.
