Location
The house sits in a central, lively, student-and-local neighbourhood of Bordeaux, a relaxed French city on the Atlantic coast and the heart of wine country. The area is known for cobbled streets, ornate architecture (nicknamed the "Paris of the south west"), cosy restaurants, bars and a karaoke-night street vibe. The pedestrian shopping street Rue Sainte-Catherine and the Marché des Capucins are nearby.
Beyond the city are vineyards, Saint-Émilion, Arcachon Bay and Atlantic surf beaches, with Europe's biggest sand dunes within about 30 minutes.
